El Inventario del modo creativo posee una gran variedad de artículos.

Los artículos son objetos que solo existen dentro del inventario del jugador; es decir, no se pueden colocar directamente en el mundo.

Funcionamiento[editar | editar código]

Algunos artículos, cuando se utilizan, colocan una versión del bloque o entidad de sí mismos en el mundo del juego. En pocas palabras, es un artículo cuando esta en el inventario y un bloque cuando se coloca. Por ejemplo, la barca se convierte en una entidad cuando se coloca, y la cama se convierte en un grupo de bloques cuando se coloca. Cuando se selecciona en la barra de acceso, los elementos muestran brevemente sus nombres sobre el HUD.

El único método por el cual los artículos se pueden mostrar correctamente dentro del entorno del juego es mediante el uso de marcos.

If an item that does not become a block is dropped, it becomes an entity represented by a sprite that floats above the ground for 5 minutes in a loaded chunk before despawning, unless the player walks over it to pick it up before it despawns.

Java Edition Classic
0.24_SURVIVAL_TEST Arrows were added as an object and were fired by pressing Tab ↹.
Java Edition Indev
December 31, 2009 Added the inventory, and with it, the first "non-tile" items.
Notch was hard at work making items and the inventory fully functional.
0.31 January 11, 2010, 1 Added the first functioning items: iron shovel, iron pickaxe, iron axe, and flint and steel.
Because the crafting system did not exist at this point, these items were automatically added to the inventory after creating a new world.
Apples were added, but they currently serve no function.
January 22, 2010 Can now place blocks on resource items
Dropped items now experience gravity.
January 24, 2010 Can now drop a whole stack of items instead of just one at a time.
January 28, 2010 Items are now 3D.
January 29, 2010 Added crafting.
Right-clicking drops one of a stack.
Added the following items: diamonds (originally emeralds), iron ingots, gold ingots, sticks, bowls, mushrooms, mushroom stew, bows, signs, pickaxes, swords, shovels, and axes (iron, diamond, and golden).
January 30, 2010 Crafting improved; now has 36 recipes.
Java Edition
1.3.1 12w15a Stackable items now stack outside inventory when thrown to the ground individually.
1.8 14w25a All items are now models, some are still generated from item icons.
Resource packs can make models for all items.
1.13 17w49a Items can be "tagged" with an ID.
Bedrock Edition
1.16.0 beta Dropped items now turn into a 3D model and spin.
